Analyze recent events with the course's models. Retain mechanisms and mark details that may expire.

Checked in September 2026. These pages belong to what Staying Current calls the event layer: events age, but their underlying mechanisms remain useful.

The 72 main chapters deliberately avoid numbers that expire. Yet readers encounter expiring events daily: a trading app disables its buy button, a platform launches thousands of tokens daily, or legislation changes stablecoin reserve rules.

Each page follows the same process:

  1. What happened: dates and events, dated to the month, with original-announcement source types where available.
  2. Analyze with course models: relevant chapters and models, who pays, and who bears risk.
  3. Retain the mechanism: what remains after nobody discusses the event three months later.
  4. Verify independently: a read-only Lab. The page's claims are starting points rather than final conclusions.
  5. Expiring details: explicitly identify information that may have changed.
